Lunar New Year

For Lunar New Year, our volunteers came together to help bring the annual parade to life in Chinatown, Brooklyn. From setting up the stage to coordinating with fellow volunteers, everyone plays a part in creating a celebration that honors culture, tradition, and community.It’s a meaningful cause but it’s also a lot of fun. Laughter, teamwork, and shared pride fill the day as you work side by side with your team, meet new people, and see their efforts turn into a joyful event for thousands to enjoy. Behind the scenes, volunteers are the ones who make it all happen.

Spotlighting the Youth

Urban United Association, young musicians get the spotlight to share their music, grow their confidence, and just have fun performing. Every note they play is a step toward discovering their voice and every performance is a celebration of creativity and courage. Volunteers are the heartbeat behind it all. From setting up the stage to cheering them on and keeping everything running smoothly, you get to see the magic happen up close. It’s hands-on, rewarding, and a great way to give back while being part of something memorable. Come join us, lend a hand, and build the talent and confidence for the next generation of talent.

Community Wellness & Workshops

At previous workshops and talk panels, our volunteers played a key role in supporting Urban United Association and the community by helping organize a Health & Wellness Event for families. With their help, the event offered vital services like blood pressure checks, BMI assessments, free blood sugar testing, vision exams, and personalized care plans plus a fun lottery activity to keep things lively!
The event was made possible by Eunice Chan, President of UUA, who also joined as one of the panelists, sharing her insights and inspiring attendees. Volunteers were there every step of the way, ensuring the event ran smoothly, families felt welcome, and the community could benefit from these essential health services.
It’s a great example of how volunteering with UUA is supporting something bigger, making a real impact, and being part of meaningful experiences that strengthen our community.
