Coverage and testimonials

  • UUA is vested in the well-being of the Chinese American community in Flushing. UUA works to incorporate Chinese-Americans from all walks of life through its various events, like the Seniors Ballroom Dance at the Sheraton. Its social services, such as the Expos on Health and other community awareness workshops, help integrate Chinese-Americans into the greater community. The Urban United Association has truly demonstrated their unwavering commitment to promoting the spirit of service. I commend New York Life and Urban United Association for their dedication to serving the community.

  • I want to applaud the Urban United Association (UUA) for your commendable service to the Asian-American community over the past three years. In addition to social services, you have coordinated a wide range of cultural events to enhance cultural assimilation and intercultural exchange, including Seniors Ballroom Dance, art contest and exhibitions, health and wellness expos, free tax services to the low-income seniors, and community awareness workshops. These activities collectively contribute to our communities’ diversity and social wellbeing.

Our history

With the great support of all friends and donors, Urban United Association has been able to support charity projects over the years. The long journey actually started right here in New York. UUA was registered in New York State as a nonprofit organization and was granted public charity status by IRS in 2013

Mission

UUA has been devoted to global charity work in four major areas: disaster relief, education and culture, environmental protection, and public health. We believe that with joint resources and effort, by being untied, we can create a greater and more sustainable impact in the communities we support. At the same time, it is our goal
to share the love from China with the world through global charity work.
We truly appreciate each and every person who supported this event. Global charity work is a long journey yet an important and meaningful one. By reaching out to local communities where we live and breathe, it is our sincere hope to have your support and participation in the journey of change. Thank you all, including UUA Board of Directors and Supervisors, Volunteers for making a difference and for bringing the love from China to more people in the world.
